Cassio

Iago is giving Cassio some beer. This is the beginning of his plan to ruin Othello as Cassio doesn't do well with alcohol and Redriego will be there to ensure he starts a fight.

How honesty relates to Cassio….

  • Completely honest throughout the whole play
  • Thought to be dishonest by Othello and Iago
  • His reputation seems most honest by Desdemona
REPETITION is used in this next quote as reputation represents honesty for Cassio and him repeating the word "Reputation" shows its important to him and the play.

Cassio to lago

“Reputation, reputation, reputation! O, I have lost my reputation.”

Othello II.iii.245-246

Desdemona to Othello

“I have no judgement in an honest face”
(Talking about Cassio)

Othello III.iii.50
